NLECC Mission, Vision and Value Statements
MISSION STATEMENT: 'Loving Jesus, loving others like Jesus and sharing Jesus wherever we go'. Simply said Jesus is our mission! Jesus gave us two great instructions that seal the deal for us . . .
The Great Commandment: "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law? Jesus replied, 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it. Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commands." Matthew 22:36-40
The Great Commission: Jesus said, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20

VISION Statement: Our vision is 'Better Together . . . Showing the Way!'
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me!" John 14:6
We want to be a inter-generational fellowship that shows Jesus as the Way by the way we do life, ministry, and worship together.

New London Evangelical Covenant Church (NLECC) is part of the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC), a growing multi-ethnic denomination of 850+ churches in the United States and Canada with ministries in 5 continents of the world. The ECC affirms these values we call affirmations:
The Centrality of the word of God: We believe that the Bible is God's Word to all people and the only perfect rule for faith, doctrine and conduct.
The necessity of the new birth: We believe in the necessity of a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
A conscious dependence on the Holy Spirit: We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit who calls the church into being, empowers its ministry, guides its mission, and gifts all believers to glorify God and grow Christ's Kingdom.
Christ's Church as a fellowship of believers: We believe in Christ's Church as a community of believers, characterized by a family of faith and mutual ministry to and with one another.
A commitment to the whole mission of the church: We believe in the whole mission of the Church. We follow Christ's two central calls of the Great Commission and the Great Commandment.
The Reality of Freedom in Christ: We believe in a freedom in Christ that recognizes differences concerning theological issues, worship styles and sacramental practices. In Christ we live with a new freedom and greater call to unity where we embrace "in essentials...agreement; in the non-essentials...freedom; and in all things...love."
